Well, in the past i have been drawn to films with the title of a number. For instance, seven. (actually, seven's the only one i can think of off the top of my head.) The good old days before fancy celebrity children with fancypants names like Shiloh and Apple existed.
So yeah, we went to see 300. Of course this was kevin's request and I am in for any chance to go to the show.
Avoid this movie. The only way it would have been worthwhile had it been background sound and visuals at a college party. No plot, no twists, predictable drama and our country is in trouble because at least seven people have insisted this is a true story. It's about as true in the sense that Greeks and Persians once fought back in the day.
Okay, so the effects were impressive but I would much rather watch Sin City again. The preachy faux-democracy in the current political climate and phony feminism of a wife who used the oldest tool in the book creeped me out. This film is dangerous. I hope today's teens and all those who spent money to see it could see through its Cheneyesque politics. This film isn't worth my time any longer. it pisses me off just thinking about it.
