conversations of a texter

Now that I have an IMDB app on my iphone, the need to randomly call my bros at all hours of the night for answers to the most mundane questions regarding film is gone! Luckily, this gives us more time to text random observations and thoughts on film, tv and actors in general.

I don't consider myself a texterface but the exchanges between my bros and I lately I consider classic-worthy text conversations.

Here is an excerpt of a chat via phone typer machine deelee during the Academy Awards last night:

Brian: I was hoping they'd do something on John Hughes
Amy: made me cry
Brian: Avatar jokes zipping over my head
Amy: maybe we should go to the show more. Gonna see wonderland next week!
Amy: you think this guys is getting an oscar for acceptance speeeach
(this is regarding the adapted screenplay writer for Precious. note: Steve Martin made the same joke as me seconds after I texted this. I am awesome)
Brian: Maggie Gylenthal is the ugliest woman on the planet
Amy: she sucks (although I did like her in Mona Lisa Smile)
Amy: and her forehead is greezy
Brian: Bret said she was driving Chris Nolan crazy while filming Batman. Take after take of horrible work.
Amy: and a greezy forehead
Brian: Indian Guy from Short Circuit!
Amy: (in regard to Jeff Bridges) Yuck. Loser. it's like the wrestler all over again
Brian: You're the one with the shell on it. (not sure what this means)
Amy: Huh?
Amy: Starman
Amy: the dude
Brian: the bitch from speed won an oscar?
Amy: that means keanu gets one next year
Brian: no way, he just caught his first tube this morning!
Amy: sir
Brian: she was great in the blind side. I'm not shocked she won
Amy: did you see it
Brian: yeah. sad
Brian: I totally thought Sophia Coppola was first female to win best director
amy: just got nominated...virgin suicides
brian: lost in translation

to add, lost in translation is a personal fave of mine..well deserving of an Oscar nomination in '03.
